How do I use one-click upsell?
To use the "One Click Upsell," you can follow some basic steps:
- Choose products that complement the item the customer just purchased. These additional products should add value to the initial purchase and be relevant to the customer.
- During the setup of your sales system, define the upsell offer.
- After the initial purchase is completed, present the upsell offer to the customer. This can be done on your thank you page after the initial purchase or on the checkout page.
- Ensure that the process of accepting the upsell offer is simple and quick. Ideally, the customer should be able to accept the offer with just one click, without the need to fill out additional information or go through a new checkout process.
- Monitor the performance of your upsell offers to understand the impact on revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Based on the results obtained, make adjustments and optimizations to your upsell offers.

How to Add Upsell or Downsell?
Upsell and downsell are two complementary sales strategies used to influence customer decisions and maximize transaction value.
While upsell is a strategy in which a seller tries to persuade a customer to purchase a more expensive product or service than the one the customer was initially considering, by offering premium products, upgrades, or adding extra features to the purchase, downsell is a strategy used when a customer declines an initial offer, usually because they consider it too expensive. Thus, instead of losing the sale completely, the seller offers a cheaper option or one with fewer features.
In other words, while the goal of upsell is to increase the value of the sale by seizing the opportunity to offer something of greater value that meets the customer's needs or desires, downsell aims to ensure that the sale is completed, even if with a lower-cost option. Both approaches depend on understanding the customer's needs and preferences to be successful.
To create an upsell or downsell option, simply access the "Products" section, select the desired product, and open the corresponding editing page. Then, click on "Upsell Generator," where you can configure the options as needed.
In the Upsell Generator, you should select the product and the upsell offer, and in "Link to Upsell 2 or Thank You Page," include the link that directs to the new offer or to your thank-you page for the purchase.
In the "Downsell Link" field, insert the link of the offer that will be presented in case the buyer declines your initial purchase.
Also, remember that it's possible to edit the "ACCEPT Text (optional)" and "DECLINE Text (optional)" to personalize the customer experience.
Setting Up Upsell/Downsell
In sales strategies, upsell and downsell play fundamental roles in boosting both revenue and customer satisfaction. While upsell proposes a premium or complementary version of the product being acquired, thereby increasing the transaction value, downsell works to keep the customer engaged even if they opt for a more modest offer. To register Upsell/Downsell on Octuspay, follow these steps:
- Access the Octuspay Dashboard and click on "Products."
- Select the product for which you want to create an upsell and open the corresponding editing page.
- On the product editing page, locate the "Upsell Generator" option and click on it.
- A screen will appear where you can select the product and the upsell offer.
- In "Link to Upsell 2 or Thank You Page," insert the link that directs to the new offer or to the thank-you page for the purchase.
- In the "Downsell Link" field, place the link of the offer that will be presented if the buyer declines the initial offer.
After inserting the links, your upsell generator will appear like this.
You can customize the "ACCEPT" and "DECLINE" texts with your choice of calls-to-action.
Be sure to insert the HTML code generated on your sales page to activate the Upsell or Downsell options.
